Software Engineer / Full Stack Developer
Leigh-on-Sea, Essex (Office-Based – 5 Days Per Week)
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Software Engineer or Full Stack Developer looking for an opportunity to build innovative software solutions across web and mobile platforms?
Our client is seeking a talented developer to join their growing team in Leigh-on-Sea. Working closely with senior leadership, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining a range of internal systems, client portals, websites, dashboards and automation tools that support business growth and operational efficiency.
This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to take ownership of projects from concept through to deployment while helping shape the future direction of the company's technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain full-stack web and mobile applications.
- Build back-end systems using Node.js and Express.
- Create modern user interfaces using React.
- Design, maintain and optimise SQL databases.
- Develop APIs and integrate third-party systems.
- Build secure client portals, internal tools, dashboards and business applications.
- Support CRM, communication platform and automation integrations.
- Maintain and enhance existing PHP-based applications.
- Manage development, testing and deployment processes.
- Write clean, scalable and well-documented code.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have strong commercial experience with JavaScript, Node.js, Express and React, alongside solid SQL and database knowledge. You will have experience developing full-stack applications from concept through to deployment, building and consuming APIs, and applying secure coding practices. Experience with Git, strong troubleshooting abilities and excellent communication skills are also essential.
Desirable experience includes PHP development, SaaS products, cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, CI/CD pipelines, mobile application development, CRM integrations and dashboard development.
