WE Talent are working with a busy, dynamic City of London organisation within the legal and regulatory sector seeking an experienced Compliance Administrator (Vetting & Regulatory Screening) to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a background in compliance, governance, regulatory operations or business screening to join a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.

The role focuses on statutory-style vetting and regulatory screening of businesses, including KYC checks, application processing, and eligibility assessments.

You will manage your own caseload, handle complex enquiries, and support structured decision-making processes within a regulated framework.

This is a varied, autonomous role requiring strong attention to detail, the ability to manage a high-volume workload, and confidence working within defined processes.

What you’ll be doing

As a key member of the team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing incoming telephone and email enquiries relating to registration, training, education, licensing, and compliance matters
  • Managing a personal caseload of applications, amendments, and regulatory screening/vetting cases
  • Carrying out a variety of screening checks, including KYC (Know Your Client), using multiple systems and databases
  • Assessing and processing applications in line with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Handling general enquiries and providing clear, accurate guidance to applicants and stakeholders
  • Supporting adjudication panel activity when required, including preparation of case information
  • Supporting compliance and regulatory projects alongside core caseload responsibilities
  • Assisting with the coordination and administration of meetings and stakeholder interactions where needed (kept light and supportive rather than core focus)
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure accurate, consistent and timely processing of cases

Who we’re looking for

We’re seeking an experienced, proactive compliance or regulatory professional who is comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment with a complex and varied workload.

Essential experience and skills:

  • Experience in compliance, governance, regulatory operations, audit, business screening / vetting, or similar structured decision-making environments
  • Strong experience managing a high-volume caseload with accuracy and autonomy
  • Experience carrying out KYC and screening checks across multiple systems
  • Ability to assess information, follow regulatory processes, and work within defined frameworks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including handling formal correspondence
  • Excellent attention to detail with a methodical, process-driven approach
  • Ability to work at pace in a complex and changing environment
  • Confident handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel – intermediate), experience with case management systems advantageous
  • Understanding of compliance principles, data protection, and confidentiality requirements
  • Background in regulated environments involving statutory or quasi-statutory screening or decision-making highly beneficial

What’s on offer

  • 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Vitality healthcare scheme
  • Auto enrolment pension
  • Hybrid working option after training
  • 35-hour week
  • Wellness room and games room

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and a busy, high-responsibility environment, with opportunities to work across both routine processes and project-based initiatives.

If you are confident, organised, and thrive in a busy, fast-moving role – apply now!

Suitable for: Compliance Administrators (business rather than personal), Compliance Officers, Governance Professionals, Quality Assurance Specialists, Case Handlers
